What is
divorce mediation?
What is the mediator’s role in divorce mediation?
The couple's role in divorce mediation is active and participatory. They are encouraged to openly communicate, actively engage in discussions, compromise on differing viewpoints, and, with the mediator's assistance, draft a comprehensive agreement that outlines the terms of their divorce. The couple's collaboration and willingness to work together play a crucial role in the success of the mediation process, fostering a more amicable resolution compared to traditional adversarial methods.

Unlike a judge in a courtroom, the mediator does not make decisions for the couple but instead empowers them to make informed choices about the terms of their separation. The mediator ensures a fair and balanced process, considering the best interests of both parties and any children involved. While the mediator may provide information on legal considerations, they do not offer legal advice.
What is the couple’s role in divorce mediation?
In divorce mediation, the mediator serves as a neutral third party facilitating communication and negotiation between the divorcing couple. Their primary role is to guide the individuals through discussions, helping them identify issues, explore potential solutions, and ultimately reach agreements on various aspects of their divorce.
